Remember coloring freely when you were a kid? Sips & Scribbles is an event for adults that want to feel that magic again! At this event you’ll craft from a variety of materials while relaxing. Journal, scrapbook, color, collage…this event is about whatever you need. Come with a friend or make new ones, just be prepared to take a break, destress, and have fun.

What comes with my ticket?

✍🏼 Journaling + collage supplies (think: magazines, newspapers, scrapbooking papers, construction paper, misc junk, fabric, lace, ribbons, postcards/art prints, greeting cards, envelopes, stickers, scissors, glue, and other cute stuff)

🎨 Coloring supplies: colored pencils, crayons, markers 

✏️ List of prompts to get you started (and if u get stuck/ don’t know where to start)

Who are you?

Hey, I’m Marina, a multi media artist & event coordinator based in Durham, NC. I’ve felt a pull to host my own events centered on connection, expression, & inner child healing. You will be part of my Sips & Scribbles events which are so special ✨

What’s a junk journal?

“A handmade book filled with personal and recycled materials to store memories and ideas. Like its name implies, the pages are filled with material that's usually thrown away…” Source (also find inspo pics & items list). 

I’m calling it a junk journaling party because I’m encouraging you to journal with your treasured junk. But it‘s also a scrapbooking party, collaging party, journaling party- whatever you want! The only rule here is to have fun & enjoy yourself!

I already have a journal, can I bring it?

Yes! No journals will be provided during this event. 

Should I bring anything?

Yes please! bring anything personal you'd like to journal with! Ideas: receipts, photos, fabrics, stickers, napkins, wrappers, lace, ribbons, magazine clippings, washi tape, etc.

I’ll be providing some materials but BYOJunk is highly encouraged.

What’s the parking situation like?

There’s a parking lot in the plaza!

What’s the dress code?

There isn’t one! Come in whatever makes you comfy…shorts, tank top, full Bratz outfit, you do you!

Are drinks included with my ticket?

Nope! But here is the menu so you can browse 🪄

Why should I attend this event?

This event is all about checkling in with ourselves, and having a safe space to feel, express, and meet new peeps. You can collage or journal your favorite things while sipping on a cute drink. I like to say sips & scribbles is like chisme & chill sesh at your bff’s house <3

Plussss, I’ll bring cute crafting supplies and prompts to inspire you. (there might be Lisa Frank stickers…just saying 🫶). 

Why do you host Sips & Scribbles for adults?

So you can forget your long to-do list, meet new people, take time for yourself, get out of the house, and do something that makes your soul tingle.

Can I order me & my friends TX all at once?  

Heck yeah! Just make sure all parties will be able to attend the event (Saturday 11/30 @ 4-6pm) 

What is the refund policy?

This is a free event. If you can no longer make it, shoot me an email contact@pintamar.com so I can give someone else your spot <3
